š± Passing the Torch: My Accidental Adventure into Social Media
For years, our Dispatch Instagram has been a delightful corner of the internetāfilled with funny moments, product intros, and the occasional dose of cuteness. All credit goes to my daughter, Serena, who has been our social media manager since day one. Sheās the creative genius behind the posts, the tone, and yes, even something called a ābrand filter.ā I didn't even know we needed one, but apparently we didāand hers is amazing.
Now, Serena is off exploring internships and diving into her own career path. Spoiler: it doesnāt involve working for me forever. Rude.
So here I am, about to take over the social media reins⦠and I have some feelings. I hardly post on my own accounts, I dread being on camera (thatās a lie, I am happy to be the star of the show š), andāreal talkāI have no clue whether music is a mandatory feature in these things. Is silence still a vibe?
I know social media is important for business, and I genuinely love seeing other peopleās posts. So Iām giving this a go. It may not be perfect, polished, or filtered just right, but Iām leaning into the chaos and hoping our followers will stick around through this learning curve.
Consider this my official launch into a new adventureāequal parts awkward and optimistic. Grace appreciated. Unfollows⦠please reconsider.
